Ministry Information
The wall of Jerusalem was vital to the health of the city in the day of Nehemiah. The wall protected the people from the enemy that sought to destroy and rule their lives. The Assyrians, Babylonians and Persians each took their turn in ruling God's chosen people.
The walls are still the key to the protection of a city today. They are walls that the Enemy has torn down so that destruction could come to the people. They are walls of family, education, belonging, work ethic, etc. Without these walls, our children and youth have been left to a life of the streets, gangs, and drugs. The walls must be rebuilt!
Growing up in the inner city of Chicago, I have seen the destruction that the Enemy has caused. I have seen too many young lives being taken, children growing up without their dads and in poverty. It is time for an army to be assembled, trained and sent to the battlefields. It is time for the churches to rise up to the occasion. The majority of youth will never meet us at church. It is time for the church to go to the streets.
It is the desire of Vision Nehemiah to fill the gaps of the wall through empowering local churches to fulfill the Great Commission. Can the following verse one day be said of Chicago and other cities throughout the world?
"God had made them rejoice with great joy; the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off." Nehemiah 12:43
