Ruth Jordan
HCJB World Radio
Ministry Information
Gene and Ruth went to Quito, Ecuador in 1951 to work with radio station HCJB, The Voice of the Andes. They were involved in music, broadcasting, evangelism, and children's work. The Jordans retired in 1987, but after Gene died in 1990, Ruth returned to Ecuador every year for four months in the winter, working in radio and correspondence. She did the trip to Ecuador each year until 2001 when the altitude of 10,000 feet became too difficult for her lungs.
Field
Formerly Quito, Ecuador. Ruth now speaks and sings in various retirement homes and meetings for women.
