Tentmakers Bible Mission

Ministry Information

We have worked ten years in Pamplona, from 1993 through 2003. We took from a faithful brother a mission work with one family and six believers. We grew to three families and 8 believers. The church merged with another church without a pastor and the Lord added up to 84 regular attendants of which 45 were church members. Our co-workers with TBM Dan and Lisa Leatherwood went to start a mission point in Tafalla, 20 miles from Pamplona. As the Pamplona church developed we saw in the Lord to go into another needed area to start another church. That is where we are, in Logrono, capital of the province called "La Rioja" in the center north, under the Basque region, 50 miles away from Pamplona.

Logrono is a city with 142,000 inhabitants, with 5 towns of about 5000 inhabitants linked with urban transportation with the city. There is a Brethren Church, which we are presently attending on Sundays, which graciously has offered their church place for us to use for our activities. It is a church of about 12 people, most of them retired, with two young people and no children. Therefore, the native people of Logrono remain unreached. And that is what we are praying for before the Lord.

Besides the services of the Brethren Church, where I also preach occasionally, and to which we invite our contacts, we hold an Evangelistic Bible Study on Saturday afternoons and a Children's Club on Fridays from 17.45 to 19.30. We are also distributing tracts and using different avenues to contact people to share the gospel with them. Truly having arrived to Logrono by the middle of October, now in March we are on the first steps of the ministry here, praying that the Lord will open hearts to His Word.
