UPCOMING EVENTS

January Operation Christmas Child Collection

In January, we are collecting winter gear (hats, gloves, scarves) and Lego sets (or bulk legos we can put into smaller bags).

Notice something different? Our monthly collection now has a theme AND a wow item. With this change, we hope it helps us collect a better variety of things throughout the year so we don’t have too much of one thing and too little of another.

As always, donations can be left in the OCC box in the foyer. You don’t have to wait to donate things if they don’t fit that month’s theme. And prayer is always an excellent way to be a part of Operation Christmas Child!

Equip Courses

Are you looking for a clear path to grow in your understanding of the Bible? Do you face pressing issues in your marriage, parenting, finances, or workplace that you don’t know how to handle as a Christian? Do you long to go deeper into the exciting realm of church history or systematic theology? Do you feel unprepared to share the gospel or articulate essential Christian doctrine?

To facilitate growth for people of every age and life-stage, we’ve designed a schedule of top-notch biblical education geared to equip you for the challenges and questions of life.

Get equipped. Experience Growth. For God’s Glory.

Chili Cook-Off and Baked Goods Auction
(Fellowship lunch & fundraiser)

Help our teens raise funds for camp at our Chili Cook-Off & Baked Goods Auction on Sunday, January 18, at 12:30 PM. No entry fee is required to participate. Everyone is encouraged to stay for lunch.

All are invited to join us for the Chili Cook-Off lunch after our morning worship service. While we eat, a team of judges will rate the competitors and you are welcome to peruse the auction table to see which baked goods you want to bid on. Some smaller items, like cookies, will be available to “buy now” during lunch. We’ll wrap things up with the Baked Goods Auction and send you home with your sweet winnings!

Payment for auction winnings can be made at a later date if needed. We’ll have instruction sheets at the event on how to make your payment or just a general donation to the Elevate camp fund.

Ways to Participate in this Fundraiser
  • Attend: Please join us for lunch, even if all you can bring is yourself. We’d love to chat with you over a warm meal.
  • Compete: Consider putting on your chef’s hat and bringing a chili to beat all the others! Click the button below to sign up now.
  • Judge: We need five judges who can handle all levels of flavor and spice. Click the button below to sign up now.
  • Bring Sides for Lunch: We can’t just have chili for lunch, so please sign up to bring a side dish, cornbread, or more chili/soup (just to eat, not compete). Click the button below to sign up now.
  • Bring a Baked Good for the Auction: Whip up a sweet specialty to donate for the Baked Goods Auction. Pastor Steve will put on his auctioneer hat and send your treats home with the highest bidder. Please bring baked goods that do not require refrigeration since they will be out for people to peruse for a few hours. Click the button below to sign up now.

Missionary Connection with the Hillebrands

Randy and Annette serve with Crossworld in Ukraine, Eurasia, and Asia. After living overseas for 24 years, plus the development of the Church in Ukraine, they are looking at moving back to the U.S. and seeing a change in their ministry. Please join us as we hear a message and important updates from Randy and Annette, long-time missionaries supported by our church.

Join us on Sunday, February 8, for a Missionary Connection opportunity! We’ll gather at 9 AM for breakfast, followed by a message and missions update from Randy and Annette Hillebrand. All ages are welcome. Adult Equip Courses will combine for the message and mission update. Children’s classes will still meet at 9:30 AM like normal. Please RSVP.
